Up-skilling our stonemasons in Perth

⚒️ UP-SKILLING OUR TEAM ⚒️

Over the past couple of days we have made the most of the rainy weather by taking our work into our yard. Amongst other banker work we have been working on we decided to deliver some building training to our now Skilled Labourer. As he could already point and finish to a very good standard the natural progression was to let him loose with the trowel and build.
The investment of time into my staff members is more than worth it as seeing the pride in their work shine through.
This is a first attempt at building block and stone and I definitely think it passed the test.
Everyone calls Stonemasonry a ‘dying trade’ so why not give back and train others up to learn the basics. I would be more than happy for Barry to come on site and build under our watch now.
Will be an interesting ‘battle’ between our labourer and our apprentice as they continue to grow and develop their skills.
